Bread Classes
Good bread is the harmony between crust and crumb, and the delight of flavor collaboration. It’s a canvas that is meant to complement your preference, creativity and indulgence. It’s the most comforting and basic of foods. The smell of fresh baked bread is incomparable. It takes practice, patience and diligence to bake bread and sourdough is the ultimate skill in bread baking.
Learn from head baker Chloe Lomas how to begin a ‘mother’ starter, how to maintain it over years to come and how to make great tasting, organic and crusty bread that is piece of art.
You will learn to knead, shape and understand sourdough so you can bake on your own, shape and top pizza, make our delicious pure sourdough crackers and more! Each class includes wine (or non alcoholic beverage of your choice), snacks to start, pizza dinner, and a voucher to enjoy a drink at our restaurant Park by Sidewalk!
Classes will be held SIDEWALK CITIZEN BAKERY in the Simmons building at 5:30 until approximately 8:00. All bread classes are sourdough based using red fife flour.
Bread Classes are full until the end of 2024.
